Sarah S. from the Outer Hebrides, Scotland loves Jesus. In her own words, she puts it this way, "There are hundreds of people in the world who are willing to die for what they believe in, whether it is their faith, their ideas, an idol, a loved one, or even a possession. I want to reach the point where I can truly say, without the tiniest shadow of a doubt that I would die for Jesus Christ."
I must have been about 6 years old when I made a conscious decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of my life. I was blessed in that I was born into a loving, faith-filled Christian family where God was made a part of everyday life. There was nothing stuffy or "religious" about it and it was clear to me from a very early age that welcoming Jesus into your life was the best and most important decision a person could make. It came very naturally and I asked Jesus into my life while helping my Dad delivering milk one Saturday morning!

As far as I can remember, being a Christian in primary school was easy enough. Most of the other kids thought they were Christians too, just because they showed up at Sunday School most weeks. It was when I reached secondary school that things became a little more difficult. The majority of my friends wanted to hit the town at weekends, and I was always being pestered to go with them to dances and parties. It was hard to say no – after all, it seemed as though everyone enjoyed themselves and the whole thing seemed pretty harmless.

I am ashamed to say that there are times I gave in, but I can honestly tell you that I never got an ounce of satisfaction out of it! It was never as good as I anticipated and never as much fun as they made it out to be. Again, I was blessed not to have friends who tried to pressure me to drink alcohol or such like – they respected my choice and left me to it. However, I wish I had not even dipped my toes in that scene by tagging along. Praise God for His mercy and forgiveness!

I always thought that it would be "easier" follow Christ in the adult world, free from school with its peer pressure and insecurities. I couldn't have been more wrong! I am eighteen now and have been out of school for a year – it really isn't so different. There is always the temptation to try and live up to someone else's standards or expectations. There is always someone to intimidate you and discourage you from doing what you know is right. There is always someone to mock you because you stand up for what you believe in and are willing to share it with those who need to be told.

But there is always Someone waiting for you to hand everything over to Him and let Him take over. Everything I am is because of Him and for Him. Jesus Christ died in my place, so that I could be free. The least I can do is be willing to lay down my life and do whatever He requires of me. Jesus is Lord!

I cannot imagine tackling life on my own, without a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father. If you can't say the same, then if I were you I'd give Him a call right now: try Jeremiah 33:3.

God is good!

You can list eHarmony with the Edsel, the dodo and a host of other extinct species.Oh, the site still exists. However, due to a lawsuit from homosexual activists, eHarmony has agreed to begin promoting same gender relationships as part of its service. Find that hard to believe for a company which was promoted [...]
Say Goodbye to eHarmony
Over the past twenty years, I’ve heard plenty of moaning about how liberal the media is in this country.  Study after study has shown that the majority of print, radio and TV media tend to vote liberal, give money to liberal causes and unabashedly slant their news coverage to discredit what is good and highlight [...]

To My Brothers and Sisters in the Black Christian Community,Based on national statistics, black voters selected BH Obama over McCain.  That’s not surprising since black voters tend toward the Democratic party in general.  It’s further not surprising since BH Obama is part black himself. As a Christian watching this campaign unfold, my concern for black Christians [...]
