Author’s note: This is the type of comment a person leaves when they ignore the entire context of something they read. First clue: at the top of the article it clearly states “(This is another good example of bad exegesis. If you don’t appreciate humor, move along.)”

Now what would possess a person to then read the article as if it’s intended to be a real Bible study and then leave a high-and-mighty response that “you misquoted a verse!!!”? Yes. That was the point. People do that IN THE PULPIT, and the absurdity is what is being highlighted. But…I shouldn’t have to be the one to point this out. Context, as noted, is key. (And reading comprehension.)
