How do you handle it when you are down? Do you think about your problems? Do you dwell on the bad times which seem to present themselves very easily to your mind?
Try remembering the good times for a change. The psalmist here notes that it is good to remember ALL of God’s works, not just the ones which seem to confound us at times. Ponder the work of His hands. That can be as simple as leaving your home or office long enough to go outside and look at the beauty of the creation. Look at the clouds again like you did when you were a child. Think about how deep space really is and that our God created it all. Smell the flowers or trees or the salt in the air.
It may not change your problem. You might still be hurting. But a balm will be in your heart as well. Remembering what God has done is one step away from simply remembering who He is and that He is your God.
